18 Mar Continuing Education Thai Massage for the Table

Thai massageThai Massage for the Table is a continuing education course that Denver Integrative Massage School offers for those who are already licensed massage therapists.  Our next start date is May 29, 2013.  If you are curious about Thai Yoga massage, but do not have the time or money to commit to our full Thai Yoga massage training program, then this course might be the perfect introduction to this form of healing.

Thai massage has a deep and extensive history that weaves together Asian healing techniques, including Indian Ayurveda and Yoga.  This preventative energy work combines reflexology, acupressure, stretching, meditation, aromatherapy and breathing exercises.  Traditionally, Thai massage is performed on the floor, but this sequence has been adapted for the table.

At the end of this course, you will feel confident enough to offer this modified version to your clients.  You will gain a deeper understanding of its history and theory.  We will even delve into ergonomics and learn how to administer deep pressure along Sen Sib Lines, also known as meridians in Chinese medicine.  You will also learn how to create a rhythm with your clients by utilizing different breath patterns.

By committing to just 16 hours, you will give your massage practice a fresh and new approach, by adding to your well of knowledge and experience.
