13 Mar Continuing Education Thai Massage
Continuing education is key for Licensed Massage Therapists to keep their careers fresh and inspiring. At Denver Integrative Massage School, we realize this importance and make it a priority to offer exciting continuing education classes all year long. One of our signatures is Thai Yoga massage. We are pleased to offer a few different options and time frames for working massage therapists, so that you can go as deep as you like into this ancient energy work.
Our first option is Thai Massage for the Table. This class serves as an introduction and modifies the traditional Thai Yoga massage, taking it from the floor to the table. The sequence was specifically created for massage therapists and bodyworkers who are looking to gain some techniques and bring another layer of awareness to their practice. In addition, to a specific sequence, you will also learn bit of history and theory, correct ergonomics and how to administer deep pressure. This course can either be taken as an immersion or a weekend long training. Our next session begins May 29, 2013.
And for those who want something more in-depth, we offer Thai Yoga Massage in three parts. Take just Level 1 or all three! Each level builds on the preceding one. Upon completion of Level 1, you will be able to give a 120 – 150 minute Thai Massage in the supine and prone position, learn appropriate breathing techniques and bring a new modality to your practice. Level 1 begins April 6, 2013!
Level 2 introduces the side-lying and seated positions along with a more in-depth study of Sen Sib lines. You will be able to begin offering therapeutic work and tailor the massage to your client’s specific needs. Finally, Level 3 is the advanced training and builds on the fundamentals taught in Level 1 and 2. Classes will be focused on more specific topics, such as, Pre-natal Thai Massage, Thai Herbal Compresses, Plant Brushings and Prayers, and Therapeutic Neck Therapy. You will learn how to treat various conditions with ease and awareness.
