About Denver Integrative Massage School

Denver Integrative Massage School, Inc (DIMS) offers a unique 650-hour Certified Massage Therapy program that includes the best in Eastern and Western Massage.

This program is appropriate for a student who wishes to attain a CMT (Certified Massage Therapist) and become an LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist) in the State of Colorado. It is possibly transferable to other state programs.

Our approach – Integrative Massage

Integrative means bringing different traditions together into one practice. Our 650-hour Certified Massage Therapy program teaches both Eastern and Western massage, and students learn to draw from both.

The Western side covers therapeutic techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial, trigger point, sports, and prenatal massage, along with assessment and body mechanics. The Eastern side covers Thai massage, acupressure, energy line work, assisted stretches, breathwork, and herbal medicine, drawn from the traditions our founder trained in throughout Thailand.

Classes combine online classroom study with in-person hands-on training. The program also offers flexible scheduling and monthly payment plans, so students can fit their training to their pace and budget. See Tuition for details.

State Approval and Licensure

DIMS is approved and regulated by the Colorado Department of Higher Education, Private Occupational School Board. Colorado requires massage therapists to pass the MBLEx, the national licensing exam, before registering with the state. Board preparation is built into the program, and graduates apply for their Colorado registration through the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).

Our History

DIMS was founded in 2010 by Hillary Hilliard, who also owns and directs two sister schools in Denver: the School of Botanical & Medical Aesthetics, founded in 2012, and Herbalism Roots, founded in 2014. The three schools share one philosophy: hands-on, personalized training in natural and integrative approaches to health and wellness.
