Once a month, Denver Integrative Massage School has been hosting a FREE two hour workshop focusing on one aspect of Thai Yoga Massage. On June 22, our focus will be on low back pain and the way that Thai Yoga Massage can help alleviate pain and tightness in the lumbar spine.
Back pain is only second to the common cold as a reason people seek the attention of a doctor. Our modern lifestyle does not help! We spend a majority of our time in a hunched over forward motion, that creates rounding in the lower back, which in turn, weakens the muscles that would normally keep us sitting up tall.
This class will focus on how to relieve low back pain by using Thai Yoga Massage techniques. You will learn lower body stretches and compressions that are appropriate for all levels of practitioner. Therapists will use their fists, forearms, elbows, knees and feet, which is best ergonomically speaking.
If you have been interested in finding out more about Thai Yoga Massage or are a massage therapist looking to add a few new techniques, then join us Friday, June 22 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Denver Integrative Massage School. Bring a pillow and a blanket and wear comfortable clothing!
