Students Learning & Practicing Massage Techniques in Class

Western massage refers to a set of techniques designed to be used on a massage table, with the client disrobed and covered by linens.

Common names that fall under Western massage are: Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage and Orthopedic Massage.

During the 600-hour Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) program, our students learn not only how to properly drape the client and apply lubricants to the skin, but also to perform various massage strokes to warm up the muscle tissue, break up adhesions, and release tension.

Here our students are practicing some of the massage techniques in class.
