The following video demonstrates arm and shoulder stretches that can be used to alleviate neck and shoulder pain. Using a handshake type grip, the therapist begins seated and presses their foot into the armpit of the receiver of the massage, while their head is turned away. The therapist shows how to gently pull the arm and give it a little shake, shake. Without losing the grip of the hand, the therapist pulls the arm over the client’s head and then lays the arm by the client’s side. Finally, the therapist draws the shoulder blade down and gently compresses the arm.
