Thai Massage Video Series: Leg Compressions & Leg Stretches

This Denver Integrative Massage School’s video demonstrates leg compressions in the prone position with the giver using her foot to create a gentle rocking motion along the length of the receiver’s leg from the hamstrings, along the calf and the sole of the foot.  The therapist also shows how to provide a single leg quad stretch, followed by a single leg half frog stretch.  Notice how the therapist uses her forearm to traction the sacrum down to avoid any pain in the low back.  A word of caution, if the client is hyper mobile in the sacrum and/or SI joint then the half frog stretch should be avoided.
