Denver Integrative Massage School will be offering their 320 hour Western Therapeutics Program beginning Saturday, January 7. This unique offering is a 3 month course that provides students with the best in Western Massage and Bodywork Techniques. This course would be most useful and most appropriate for those who have already completed a training in a form of Asian Energy Bodywork or those who have completed training in a different massage technique, who have completed a yoga teacher training or another healing modality.
This course offers an opportunity for body-workers to supplement their healing practice or perhaps offer a refresher course that builds on past training. The program consists of 5 courses with 208 hours dedicated to in-class training and 112 hours in Correspondence modules. Course offerings include:
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Kinesiology and Pathology
- Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork Assessment
- Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork Application
- Business and Ethics
This program is steeped in the rich tradition of Eastern energy work and Western massage technique to provide students with a well rounded understanding of what it means to be a healer and hold space for their future clients that offers a nourishing and empowering experience that one can draw from again and again. This special supplemental training will not be offered again until Fall 2012.
